Introduction
Maharashtra Common entrance test cell (MHCET) Conducts examination process for government and private engineering college all over the Maharashtra it also conducts examination Like CET for admissions of engineering and other course which only applicable for Maharashtra state. There are more than 365+ engineering colleges enrolled in MHCET portal which provides more than 40 unique course like computer science and engineering, information technology, mechanical engineering etc.
In 2024 we had 3 admission rounds which are now increased to 4 from 2025. Admission process is divided into two parts which are admission through MHCET percentile, and JEE percentile arounds 15% seats are allocated to All India rank students while 85 % of seats allocated to MH seats that is people who are appearing for CET exams.
Every year more than 1.5 lakhs people go through engineering admission and this number is increasing every year. Most of the student prepare for CET to get good Government or private college which give chance to get job offers in good Companies. Getting a dream college comes with the great challenge of CET/JEE score as this colleges are difficult to crack due to high cutoffs and to set a target analyzing previous year cutoff become important task. As you can see in the below table, we have sort out top 10 branches with high cutoff and all of them required more than 99.9 percentile and 275 CET rank.

to know cutoff of each college we have to scan through all the rounds pdf to know the lowest cutoff and which is very tedious task to find college from thousands of lines and to reduce this work I made a tool which can allow you to search for college cutoff from 2024 and 2025 years by one click also you will get filters such as
- Gender
- Reservation category
- Home university/Other than home university/State seats
- Cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Kolhapur etc.
- Branch/Course
also, we have below tools which can help students to prepare preference list according to their JEE/CET score.
- MH Cutoff.
- AI (ALL INDIA) Cutoff.
- MH college/Branch Prediction.
- AI college/Branch Prediction.
- TFWS prediction.
MHCET Legends Explained
Before going through the tool knowing the legend will be a good opinion to better understanding of in which category you will come. SO, if we see the cutoff PDF there are Various Legends are mentions which either come at start or at an end.
Example– In below Image we can see that G and PWD will be termed as a Starting legend while S and O will be termed and Ending legends and in between starting and ending legend we have main reservation category
| Code | Starting Legends | Code | Ending Legends |
|---|---|---|---|
| G | General – Both male and female candidates can get this seat. | H | Home University – Seats reserved for students belonging to that university region. |
| L | Ladies – Seats reserved for female candidates only. | O | Other Than Home University – Seats reserved for students outside the home university area. |
| PWD | Persons With Disabilities – Seats reserved for candidates with disabilities. | S | State Level – Seats open for students across the entire state. |
| DEF | Defence – Seats reserved for students whose parents serve or served in defence forces. |
MHCET Engineering cutoff tool
To check cutoff of any college you have to surf through the CET cell website you have to make few click to get up to the PDF then you have to surf in PDF to look for the cutoff and then if you want to see round wise and year wise cutoff then you need to surf through 4 rounds of 2025 pdf and 3 rounds of 2024 cutoff , This process is lengthy as well as difficult to find exact results.
To overcome this problem I have made a tool such that by giving input you get all the rounds of 2024 and 2025 with a single search click in easy to read for format. To making less complicated data base for the tool we have converted our tool into two parts which are as below:
- MHCET MH Seat Cutoff Tool
- MHCET AI Seat Cutoff Tool
As we have no reservation categories into AI (All India Seats), but we have lots of reservation as well as gender categories in MH (CET seats) its Cutoff PDF also shares different structure which cause us to devide this tool into 2 parts.
For this tool we considered 2 years data as a reference as every year cutoff is getting increase so there is no mean to see for older data, so we have cutoff data 4 Rounds of 2025 and 3 rounds of 2024 MHCET cutoff. In this tool you Can be Able to search for college and select the branches or courses you’re interested in in addition you can select multiple branches Example – If PCCOE college have 2 branches Computer science and information technology which are more similar to each other so you can select multiples as you want.
1. MH(CET) seats Cutoff tool
2. MHCET AI(JEE ) Cutoff tool
College/Branch Prediction tool
In every year student need to prepare a preference list of colleges to get an admission where they want, but some reason such as not knowing cutoff for good college, they do not analyze how cutoff can be lower or higher for next rounds etc. students miss the chance of getting a good college which they deserve. SO, to help student I have come with the college/branch prediction tool where student can short list or make preference sheet by considering cutoff for various branches, categories, districts they want.
Here we have divided tool in again two categories 1 for the JEE percentile and 1 for MHCET percentile as we have separate database for these two rounds as they vary to each other as AI seats don’t have any kind of reservation. For AI tool you need to give input as JEE percentile, Branches which you want, District where you have comfort. Similar to this for MH tool you can give inputs as CET percentile, Multiple branch option, Multiple cities, Gender, Cate based reservation choice and a lastly PWD and DEF choice.
1. MHCET College/Branch PREDICTOR
AI(JEE) College/Branch Predictor
TFWS SEAT PREDICTOR
Tuition fee waiver scheme (TFWS) this scheme given by the Maharashtra government where they allocate 5 % of seat from the total intake for TFWS ex, If PICT college have 120 intakes for mechanical engineering, then 6 seats will be for TFWS scheme. If your eligible for this scheme you need to come in top 5% rank of that branch. When you get admission through TFWS your tuition fee will be paid by government which is big part fee structure.
As girl in Maharashtra already waived from tuition fees this become important for Boys as they have chance to way almost 70% fees amount. Keeping this into mind I have created a tool for student who have good score and want to avail TFWS seats they can prepare their preference for TFWS according to previous year cutoffs. FOr TFWS you can only avail this from MHCET score as this categoery is not valid for AI seats.
Steps and functions of tool
- Percentile – Enter here your CET percentile
- Branch Selection- Here you can select your preferred branch, here we gave option to choice multiple branches as people who want to apply for computer science they usually also apply for Information technology.
- District Selection – We have categorized the institute district wise so people who want to take admission in their home district or in metro cities like Pune Mumbai, Nagpur. So here students can actually select all cities, single city or multiple cities.
- Search – This option will start processing your data and will show you 3 different categories which are Super Safe, Safe and target which can help to prepare TFWS Preference list for further process.
- Clear – By this option you can reset to tool.
