About Analyst Voice

Welcome to Analyst Voice, a technical platform founded in Jan 2026 and run by an independent Mechanical engineer that works for engineering students by converting raw cut-off and placement data into meaningful statistics, blogs and tools with logical methodology and for mechanical engineering professionals by providing technical guides, homologation standards for the automotive seat domain and practical CAD and engineering skill required for plastic product development.

The idea behind Analyst Voice came from the difficulties faced by engineering aspirants during admission and by engineering professionals in their early careers.
1.Engineering Aspirants – Navigating through lengthy and heavy cut-off PDFs from CET and DTE for each year and round, selection of branches and colleges, confusion regarding reservation category and seat-type selection, preparation of preference sheets according to cut-offs, etc.
2.Engineering Professionals – Lack of technically written information regarding the automotive seat domain, homologation standards such as ECE and FMVSS, and the high cost of plastic design courses create difficulties for students as well as professionals in the early stages of their careers. Analyst Voice aims to bridge the gap between theoretical college knowledge and practical industry knowledge.

Author

Hi, I’m Siddhant Patil, a diploma and graduate in Mechanical Engineering from New Institute of technology Kolhapur and KITS college of engineering Kolhapur respectively and working as a design engineer in Automotive seat system with 3 years of Industry experience in Pune. I founded Analyst Voice to simplify Engineering college admission process and to share practical knowledge from Automotive seat domain.

Why this platform exists

As someone who has completed both diploma and engineering, I personally went through the admission process conducted by the DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) and MHT CET. During this process, I faced several difficulties and confusion such as:

  • Deciding the target score required in MHT CET, diploma, and 10th standard for admission into specific colleges and branches.
  • Navigating lengthy cutoff PDFs was time-consuming and frustrating, as students need to open different PDFs for every year and every college. Even after opening them, searching for a specific college or branch sometimes fails due to the large PDF size.
  • Confusion regarding branch selection, preparation of preference lists, different types of vertical and horizontal reservations, and seat types etc.
  • Multiple cutoff and prediction tool only works on signing through mobile number which later can cause you spam call from private institution.

Alongside this, as a Mechanical Engineer working in the automotive seat design domain, I also noticed a lack of practical and beginner-friendly technical information available on the internet regarding:

    • Basics of automobile seats, their sub-assemblies, and parts
    • Important homologation standards and testing procedures
    • Technical terminologies such as H-Point, R-Point, torso angle, etc.
    • Plastic design basics, design processes, and methodologies
    • Draft analysis, packaging studies, attachment strategies, snap calculations, and related topics

Therefore, Analyst Voice is dedicated to helping engineering students and professionals by simplifying the Maharashtra engineering admission process while also providing practical knowledge related to automobile seat systems and plastic design engineering.

    How We Collect data

    Engineering Admission

To run our prediction tool and cutoff tool I need official, Validated and accurate data. For engineering first year and second year cutoff and prediction tool I referred Publicly release data from CET cell and for Diploma I have referred cutoff data from DTE (Directorate of technical education) Maharashtra. For Accuracy and validation of data we follow below methodology.

    1. Data Source – I take cutoff pdf round wise and year wise from official sites https://cetcell.mahacet.org/ and https://dte.maharashtra.gov.in/. No other third part or AI generated cutoff data being used for tool database.
    2. Data Categorization – I carefully Extract data from pdf to structured tables like college code/name, branch code/name, Home, state and other than home university seats, Reservation categories in each branch like OBC, SEBC, SC, ST, NT, EWS, TFWS also DEF, Orphan etc. then cutoff rank and marks for each categories. I also categories data in districts and Base branch’s ex. Computer science, Computer science engineering, Computer engineering branches categories in base branch computer science engineering.
    3. Validation and Accuracy – I validate extracted and categories data for accuracy with the official pdf, I use manual and automated test as checking whole data base is not possible looking into size of data, so we do check manually for random colleges and with 500 automated test cases.
    4. Yearly Updates – Database updates every year as soon as official cutoff rounds are released.

For other college ranking blogs, we take data like placements records, seat matrix, Placement percentage from official records released by respective college administration.

    Automobile Engineering

At analyst voice for content related to homologous safety standards, regulations and test procedure like child restraints, Belts and anchorages points, head restraints I use official documents from
